Rachel Jane Friend Bartley

Rachel Jane Friend Bartley, 81, wife of Douglas Dwight Bartley, died Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born November 22, 1940, in Noble, IN, she was the daughter of the late Albert Friend and the late Dicia Goble Friend. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hampton Nursing Home (now Sumter Health and Rehabilitation Center). She loved animals and was a supporter of the Humane Society.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years; two sons, Marc D. Bartley of Columbia and Shelby D. Bartley (Amy) of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Jackson Bartley and Leila Bartley; and a brother, John Friend of IN.

A private family service will be held at the family farm in Ripley County, Indiana at a later date.
