Stephen Irby Graves

Stephen Irby Graves

Stephen Irby Graves 65, of Osgood, Indiana peacefully entered his heavenly home on April, 20, 2020.

Steve was born on March 20, 1955 in Covington, KY. He attended Holmes High School in Covington, KY. He served the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Steve spent most of his working years working at The Greater Cincinnati Airport, most recently working at Hendrix Service Station before retiring to spend cherished time with his family.

Steve was a man of great faith and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Sunman. His greatest accomplishments were giving his heart to the Lord and marrying his wife, Beverly, of 22 years.

Steve enjoyed the small things in life. He enjoyed worshiping his Savior, Jesus Christ, spending time with his family and friends, vacationing, and watching sports. As an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Kentucky Wildcats, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Steve had a huge heart and was well known for watching over others. He would be the first person to summon everyone to “get out the pool” before a storm came. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He called his nieces and nephews daily to check on them and often looked forward to hearing about their day.

Steve will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Beverly of Osgood; his children Bill (Sarah) Hammer of Saylor Park; Jennifer (Kris) Fette of Osgood; Jessica (Bob Bordner) Hammer of Batesville; sons Derrick and Daren; his beautiful grandchildren: Laney, Lauren, Emerson, Cohen, Ava, and Georgia; many nieces and nephews and his church family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests In Memory contributions to be made to The First Southern Baptist Church, 403 South Meridian Street, Sunman, IN 47041.
