Thomas Robert Cloppert

Thomas Robert Cloppert, of Milan, was born on February 23, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son to Frederick and Rita Bettinger Cloppert. He married Judy Weisbrod on December 12, 1975 in Cincinnati and together they raised five children. Tom worked as a material manager in quality control for many years. He was an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church as a Eucharistic minister and in the men’s prayer groups. Tom loved boating and spending time with his family. On Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 67, he passed away at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

Those surviving who will cherish Tom’s memory include his wife of 43 years, Judy Cloppert; children, Bill (Karen) Schmitt of Milan, Julie (Joe) Stewart of West Harrison, Thom (Alicia) Cloppert, Jr. of Loveland, OH, Jud (Liz) Cloppert of Cincinnati, and Katie (Taylor) Hoffman of Erlanger, KY; 10 grandchildren, Megan (Tyler) Ripperger, Zach Schmitt, Jacob Stewart, Eli Schmitt, Mallory Stewart, Becca Schmitt, Matthew Schmitt, Lilli Stewart, Acadia Cloppert, and Irelyn Cloppert; 3 great-grandchildren, Quinn Ripperger, Griffin Ripperger and Rhys Schmitt; 2 brothers, Fred (Pat) Cloppert of Columbus, OH, and Bill (Sandi) Cloppert of Cincinnati, and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 19 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Shaun Whittington officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
