Timothy Lee Shannon
Timothy Lee Shannon, 66, of Milan passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Tim was born on Tuesday, August 2, 1955 in Milan; son of Robert and Mary (Slayback) Shannon. Tim married his loving wife, Virginia (Ginny) Kennedy in 1988. Tim worked for Matthews Aurora Casket Company as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Tim enjoyed the outdoors and loved nature. He could often be found taking his grandchildren for rides on his Ranger, camping, fishing, watching deer or any other wildlife. He was an awesome father, grandfather, and a proud foster grandpa, who enjoyed taking the children to Lawrenceburg Speedway Races and on trips with him in the truck. Tim enjoyed his time with his sons volunteering with the Boy Scouts when they were young. He was always a jokester with the kids. Tim was a “fix-it” man who could work on anything. His greatest passion in life was his family, they meant everything to him.
Tim will be missed by his wife, Ginny Shannon of Milan; sons T.J. Shannon (Caity) of New Castle and Rob Shannon (Jessica) of Greenfield; daughters Shayna Goodman (Josh) of Fishers, Shelly Gilley (Kevin) of Versailles, Sandy Gerster of Celina, Texas, and Dawn Featherkile (Steve) of Rising Sun; mother Mary Furlow of Dillsboro; brothers Bob and Kevin Shannon (Carla) all of Rising Sun; sister Debby James (Steve) of Patriot; mother-in-law Rita Kennedy of Versailles; and three grandchildren Ethan Gerster, Olivia Gilley, and Gavin Featherkile.
