Vernon Lee Wynn

Mr. Vernon Lee Wynn, age 91, of Deputy, Indiana entered this life on January 24, 1930 in Deputy, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late William Elisha and Margaret Ellen Dooley Wynn.

He was inducted into the United States Navy on July 30, 1948 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He rose to the rate of Seaman and served aboard the U.S.S. Kearsarge (CV-33). He was honorably discharged on July 29, 1949 at Great Lakes, Illinois and then served in the reserves until being honorably discharged on July 29, 1954.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Doug Wallace at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Deputy, Indiana. A final salute with military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion and the U.S. Naval Great Lakes Ceremonial Unit. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
