William David “Billy” Meisberger


William David “Billy” Meisberger, 52, of New Marion passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his home. He was born in Batesville on December 1, 1969, the son of David and Sherron Castner Meisberger.


Survivors include his parents David and Sherron Meisberger of New Marion; two sisters Tracy Meisberger and Suzanne (Brent) Jansen both of Versailles; three nieces Ashley Parker, Haley Jansen, and Megan Hale; one nephew Alex Buchanan; great-nephews Brayden and Thomas, and great-niece Brooklyn, along with several uncles, aunts, and cousins.


Mr. Meisberger was a 1988 graduate of South Ripley High School. Billy was a farmer and did carpenter work on the side. He enjoyed fishing, golf, watching football, playing cards, and being a jokester. He especially enjoyed being uncle to his nieces and nephews.


Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 4 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Billy’s friend Ron Messer officiating. Burial was held in the New Marion Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday beginning at 10am. Memorials may be given to the New Marion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
