William Ralph “Bill” Berry

William Ralph “Bill” Berry, of Deputy, Indiana entered this life on January 9, 1937 in Danville, Indiana.  He was the loving son of the late William M. and Norris E. Cummings Berry.  He was inducted into the United States Army on August 7, 1956 and rose to the rank of Specialist Four serving in the Seventh US Army Security Agency Field Station.  He also served in the National Guard until August 19, 1962.  Bill passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his farm near Deputy, Indiana.

A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor Mike Shuler at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.  Interment will follow at Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.  A final salute with full military honors will be conducted by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion and the Fort Knox Ceremonial Unit.  Friends may visit on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre has been entrusted with arrangements.
