William “Willie” Russell Lewis


William “Willie” Russell Lewis, age 48 of Osgood passed away early Saturday August 28 surrounded by his family. He was born in Batesville, Indiana of February 7, 1973, the son of the late Leland and Betty Jean (Rub) Lewis.


Willie early on in life developed a passion for working on cars, he made a career out of being a mechanic. He spent several years working for 3C Automotive outside of Osgood. Even thru his battle with cancer he enjoyed anytime he could spend in the garage. He married his wife Cindy on October 8, 2011. Willie loved spending time with her and their family. They enjoyed numerous fishing trips and many cookouts together. He looked forward to meeting their first great grandchild due in November. He was proud to have been baptized earlier this year.


Willie is going to be deeply missed by wife Cindy, sons; William Lewis, Blake (Amy) Crain, and Lucas Schebler, daughters; Christine (Toby) Kevoian, Violet Lewis, and Olivia Crain, sisters; Rose Roper, Grace (Jerry) Hinkens, and Barbara Neahousmeyer, grandchildren; Jude Elsrod, Finneas Kevoian, Thea Hendershot, future grandchild Dexter Crain, and In-Laws Joe and Vickie Clayton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Eddie Neahousmeyer.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 31, 2021, from 10 am.- 12 pm at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm. also at Neal’s. Burial will follow at Perserverance Cemetery outside of Osgood. Memorials can be given to the family in care of the funeral home. Online condolences can be placed on Nealsfuneralhome.net.
