Teenagers help Safe Passage

Students from both South Ripley and Jac-Cen-Del were able to work together and raise $1170 for Safe Passage, a domestic shelter. The students are pictured as they counted the money, and realized a friendly little “Pennies War” raised $64 alone and was won by South Ripley. Jane Yorn, with Safe Passage, noted they are very appreciative of this and it couldn’t of come at a better time.


MMH officials confirm a case of COVID-19 in ER

Last Thursday, March 19, Margaret Mary Health received confirmation from a hospital in Cincinnati that a Franklin County resident who was transferred from MMH’s emergency services department has been tested for confirmed positive for COVID-19.


Local business concerned about response time of police

Michel Norman, owner of the laundromat in Milan, attended the board meeting to discuss the lack of follow-up he received regarding an ongoing trespassing issue he has. Norman stated he called the police on January 22, January 27, and again on March 6 with no response.
