Former Rising Sun Police Chief, Harlis Steven Hoover, Jr., 37, was recently charged with some serious crimes. He was arrested on Monday, November 13 on 17 felony counts after Indiana State Police-Versailles Post detectives completed a four-month investigation.

Ellen Fennell, band and choir director at South Ripley Schools has been selected to join a marching band of 400 band directors from across the country in the historic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 23.

South Ripley bounced back from a tough loss at Jac-Cen-Del last Saturday night and went on the road to defeat Class A No. 8 South Decatur by a 44-42 final score on Tuesday.
