Fire displaces occupants of apartment
The Versailles Fire/Rescue responded to a structure fire on Tuesday, December 17 at an apartment building at Brownings Campground just east of Versailles. The fire was contained to the attic area. However, occupants of the apartment were displaced.

Lady Raiders open ORVC schedule with 56-11 win over Shawe
The South Ripley Lady Raiders opened ORVC play this year with a win over the visiting Shawe Memorial Lady Hilltoppers on Thursday, Dec. 12 by a score of 56-11. The Lady Raiders were led by senior Lindsey Meyer’s 14 points and nine rebounds in that game. Meyer hit three, three-pointers and went five for six from field goal range.

Ripley County Community Foundation announces 2020 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar
The Ripley County Community Foundation proudly announces Gage Unrath as Ripley County’s 2020 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. Gage will receive full tuition for 4 years of undergraduate study and a $900 per year book stipend to the Indiana College or University of his choice. Gage is the son of Vince and Jennifer Unrath, and is a senior at Jac-Cen-Del High School.
