Before a crowded room, 33 recipients from seven counties took home a total of $63,551 Tuesday, February 11 at the REMC Community Building in Osgood. The Southeastern Indiana REMC Operation Roundup program has awarded over $433,000 in six disbursements of the funds coming from members.

The 2020 Polar Plunge which benefits Special Olympics is set for Saturday, February 15. This will take place at the Versailles State Park lake area. The Polar Plunge is Special Olympics Indiana’s signature fundraiser with hundreds of people taking to the icy cold waters for a great cause.

Versailles American Legion (VAL) junior air rifle shooters concluded league play for the season by winning their final match and claiming the league title at Georgetown on February 1. In addition to winning the league as a team, VAL marksman Richie Block earned “Top Gun” honors.
