Eagles earn ORVC wins over Shiners and Pacers

Before meeting Milan, Jac-Cen-Del hosted conference opponents Rising Sun on Tuesday, February 18 and Switzerland County on Friday, Feb. 21, disposing of both teams, albeit in close games. On Tuesday, Wyatt Day and Justin Baber scored 18 points apiece to lead their team to victory over Rising Sun by a score of 55-49.


New coffee shop opens at JCD

The Jac-Cen-Del Community School Board met February 17 in the JCD Elementary library for a regular board meeting. Fred Unsicker, JCD High School principal, reported that the Coffee Shop will have its official grand opening February 20. The Upper Room has arranged the grand opening program in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce.


Raiders split games over weekend

South Ripley’s boys varsity basketball team earned an ORVC win over Rising Sun on Friday, February 21 at home by a score of 61-28. Then, they traveled to Greensburg the following night and played a respectably close game against the formidable Class 3A Pirates, who improved to 20-2 with the 63-52 win over SR.
