Bazaar canceled due to COVID

After much thought and consideration, the Versailles-Osgood Delta Rho Chapter of Tri Kappa has decided to cancel the Winter Wonderland Bazaar in November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the consensus of the organization to suspend all public activities until the first of the year.

Handbags 4 Hope, the new and gently used purse auction to benefit Safe Passage, will be held online this year. No ticket/admission fee. View the purses online through the Safe Passage Facebook page or at the Batesville Library beginning August 8 when the online auction bidding starts, and ending August 15 at noon.


Health officer says ‘wear a mask, wash hands’

It’s important that people realize the need to wear masks in public and to keep washing their hands, according to information from the Ripley County Health Officer Dr. David Welsh. But, it’s simply not enough if you are organizing an event with more than 250 people.
