Participants and organizers for the 2019 Ripley County Relay for Life persevered through thunderstorms on Saturday, June 15, to keep fighting for a cure against cancer.

With the passing of David Chandler, former chairperson of the Ripley County Democratic Party, Steve Powaga was elected at a caucus on June 11 to serve in the chair position for the remainder of Chandler’s term.

The Milan Town Board held a regular town meeting on June 10. During the meeting, ordinance 2019-05-13-2 was read and adopted, stating the Town Council desires to add a stop sign to Main Street on the northbound side at Carr Street.
