2019 was busy year for dispatchers

Jon Phillips and Rosie Gaynor take calls while Leah Hildebrand, 911 supervisor and director for the Ripley County 911 Communications, points out relevant information on one of the many screens required for the department. The center not only handles 911 calls, but court calls, dog warden calls, stranded vehicles, run driver’s license during traffic stops, track warrants, offer full police dispatch, along with many other responsibilities. Chamber has new executive director

Deborah Tompkins began her duties as executive director of the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce the first of the year. She is settling in the office at Versailles and has already started reaching out to businesses. She said she looks forward to helping businesses grow and being involved in the community she has always called home.
